Our Doctors

Dr. Esther Cherrick

Medical Director

Dr. Cherrick graduated from Ross University, School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her clinical year at Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Cherrick also holds a Bachelor of Science from Loyola University Chicago in Biological Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Sciences from Colorado State University. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. In her free time, Dr. Cherrick enjoys reading, playing with her Bichon Frise puppy ‘Naggie’, spoiling her niece, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Sarah Doan

Dr. Doan graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. She also has a BA in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. In her free time, Dr. Doan enjoys cooking, playing with her Australian shepherd Ella, and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Bianca Perez

Dr. Pérez is a graduate of St. George’s University, where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She completed her clinical year at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Saint Xavier University.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Pérez enjoys playing tennis , video games , and spending time with her family, and her four dogs, Puggie, Peppa, Luna, and Pup Cup , who keep life fun and full of energy!

Dr. Kari Lohr

Dr. Lohr graduated in 2024 from St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies, while completing her final year in London at the Royal Veterinary College. She holds a DVM degree and is a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (UK and commonwealth licensing). She has a BS in Cell and Molecular Biology from University of South Florida in Tampa. Her veterinary interests include surgery, feline medicine, and client education. When Dr. Lohr is off the clock; she enjoys knitting in coffee shops, exploring antique stores, and walking by the lake. She also has a cat, Chester, who has traveled with her to each country!

Dr. Adam Cabrera

Dr. Cabrera earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. George’s University in Grenada, completing his clinical year at NC State University in Raleigh, NC. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Originally from the Chicago suburbs, Dr. Cabrera spent two years on the East Coast in North Carolina and three years on the West Coast in San Francisco before returning home to what he calls “the best city in the world.” His favorite aspect of veterinary medicine is building lasting relationships with clients and their pets, guiding families through routine care and difficult decisions while advocating for the best possible quality of life for their beloved companions. In his free time, Dr. Cabrera enjoys spending time with his beloved Golden Retriever, Odin.
